ELHAMDA CONSULTANT ARCHITECT (Elhamda) was set up in September 1989 as an Architect firm. It is registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (Malaysian Board of Architect) under the Architect Acts 1967 and with the Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (Malaysian Society of Architects). IThe firm is also registered with the Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia (The Ministry of Finance of Malaysia), which entitles it to undertake Government-related and GLC-related projects.
Within months of its establishment, Elhamda was entrusted with its first major project, under a fast-track 'Design & Build' concept, involving 3,000 units of 'long houses' using timber pre-fabricated system. The project which was sited over three different sites in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Selangor was under the Implementation and Coordination Unit(ICU) of the Prime Minister's Department, and supervised by Special Project Department, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur and JKR Selangor.
From then on, Elhamda never looked back. The firm was then appointed to be Architect for various types of projects nation-wide, including the Institut Latihan Petrolium Petronas(ILPP) in Kuala Trengganu, a prestigious bungalow-tyed housing development in Seremban, Institut Teknologi Tun Abdul Razak(ITTAR) campus in Langkawi, a commercial complex in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, holiday apartments in Cameron Highlands and high-rise condominium project in the Klang Valley. Despite that, the firm maintains its keen interest in individual houses and bungalows, and even renovation and interior works.
Elhamda is very proud to have served notable clients including Petronas Hartabina Sdn. Bhd,. Koperasi Usaha Bersatu (M) Bhd(now KUB Malaysia), Golden Hope Plantations Bhd, UDA Holdings Bhd, MBSB Development Sdn Bhd, government agencies and housing developers. Besides that Elhamda was honoured to have served individual bungalow owners in designing their dream-homes.
